fun. serious. happy.
Alright darlings, listen up! My name is McKaddie and I’m the author of the Wee Spikey book series.
My books are all about my life, my adventures, my thoughts and feelings, told in a funny way. I’ll share what I’ve learned, and suggest solutions if you’re in a similar boat. But don’t expect me to be a guru or influencer. We all live different lives, so my solutions might not work for everyone. But they’ve worked for me, and they might help you too.

People who are ‘different’ often feel misunderstood, lonely, and left out. Gifted people are seen as ‘too much’ or ‘not enough’. Highly sensitive people are told they’re ‘too soft’. And multipotentialites are criticised because they can’t stick to one job/hobby/lifestyle/thing. This might describe you, or a part of you. In my books, I want to show you that you’re not alone in this, and that there are ways to deal with your difference. I’ll give you tips on how to avoid or cope with difficult situations, and I’ll illustrate each theme with drawings of Wee Spikey.
Apart from the legal stuff and other boring bits, here’s how the Wee Spikey books are (usually) structured:
· Part 1: My experiences, told through text and illustrations
· Part 2: What I’ve learned from my experiences, about myself and the world around me
· Part 3: What you can do if you’re in a similar situation
The Wee Spikey books are not traditional self-help books that’ll give you sensational solutions to everything. I’m not basing my books on my professional career or other people’s experiences. Everything in my books is personal: they’re my adventures, my stories, my thoughts, experiences, and opinions. And as I said before, the solutions I’ve found might not work for you, since we’re all so different. But they might inspire you to try out things in your own situation.
The Wee Spikey books are not scientific texts. I might mention scientific articles or books, but the books are based on subjective and personal experiences. I’m not writing scientifically, I’m writing for you, ok? If you’re looking for scientific writings about giftedness, high sensitivity, or multipotentiality, then the Wee Spikey book series is not for you. But if you’re looking for similar experiences as those you experience and wonder how other people have dealt with them, then my Wee Spikey books will probably suit your purpose. And best of all, you’ll have a good laugh at me, at yourself, and at the whole crazy world that surrounds us! Doesn’t that sound encouraging?!
The Wee Spikey books cover a bunch of different themes, split into three categories:

Internal
Internal dives into personal thoughts and big questions about life.

External
External is all about friendships, relationships, and everyday stuff that makes you feel things

Mixed
Mixed is a mix of both, bouncing between deep thoughts and real-life situations.
Most of the Wee Spikey books fall into the Mixed category, blending inner musings with everyday events. If you’re curious about a specific category, check out the buttons below to see which books fit where. And if you just want to see all the books, hit the first button. McKaddie’s always adding new stuff, so make sure to drop by every now and then. Or even better, sign up for the newsletter (coming soon) to stay in the loop!
