Wee Spikey who & why
Alright darlings, listen up! Wee Spikey is a book series about the author McKaddie, disguised as the illustrated creature Wee Spikey. The books cover a range of topics from loneliness and philosophical reflections to fashion and lovers. All the stories are based on real life events, and McKaddie treats even serious and depressing subjects in a funny and entertaining way through the illustrations of Wee Spikey. The drawings of Wee Spikey may seem simple, even childish at times, but as you will discover, McKaddie’s hardly a new Picasso (lol).
The author McKaddie’s other self Wee Spikey is gender neutral, and the stories in the Wee Spikey book series are told from the perspective of giftedness and high sensitivity. McKaddie is what we today call ‘gifted’. Gifted people have a higher IQ than the majority of the world’s population. Their neurological brain function is different from that of the general population, and this can sometimes cause great distress, misunderstandings, and a deep sense of being an outsider. But it can also bring lots of happiness, fabulous emotional states, and enhanced capacities and skills in many fields.
So the books about Wee Spikey will tell stories from this perspective, and they’ll be funny! But everyone’s welcome to read about Wee Spikey because we probably all have similar life experiences, no matter how our brains work.
